If recruiting feels like a lot right now… this workshop is for you.

You want to compete in college. But every time you think about recruiting, it feels like there's SO much to do, and you don't know where to start.

You tell yourself you'll start when your skills are better, when your video is perfect, when you finally feel ready.

You look at what other gymnasts are doing and start wondering if you're good enough yet, or if you already started too late.

Nothing is wrong with you. Your brain is trying to keep you safe. You don't have to feel ready to take your next step. You just have to learn how to coach yourself through the doubt.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

“I was worried that like if I did something wrong then the college coaches were just gonna immediately take me off their list.”

Larah, Gymnast

In this small-group workshop, I'll walk you through how to notice the what-ifs, handle the feelings, and find a thought you can actually believe — so you can take your next step.

What We'll Do Together

  • Pick the one recruiting step that's in front of you right now
  • Learn why your brain throws what-ifs at you (and why that doesn't mean stop)
  • Get your what-ifs out of your head and onto paper
  • Try one easy tool for the nerves: the belly breath
  • Question your biggest what-if and find a thought you can actually believe
  • Leave with your next step planned, plus a printable workbook you can use every time the what-ifs come back

It's a small group (max 10 gymnasts), and you can share as much or as little as you want.

What Gymnasts and Families Are Saying

“I wasn’t really putting myself out there before.”

“I wasn’t really putting myself out there before. So now that I’m actually emailing coaches and coaches are responding and posting on Instagram more frequently... I think I was successful in that way from knowing that not everything has to be perfect.”

Kaylee

Gymnast

“She’s taking ownership of this.”

“She’s taking ownership of this. I’m not pushing her to do anything. I’ve been very hands-off and just letting her kind of run the show as she needs to.”

Stacy

Parent

“She has taken ownership of her college journey.”

“She was definitely doing it on her own. I didn’t have to ask her… she was asking. That’s definitely the biggest step—she has taken ownership of her college journey.”

Ali Havel

Hi, I'm Ali!

I've seen college recruiting from just about every side. I went through it myself as a Level 10 gymnast, then competed at UW–La Crosse (UWL), where I got to be part of our 2015 National Championship team. After that, I coached at UWL and was our Recruiting Coordinator, so I've been on the other side of the inbox, too. I've also coached Level 8–10 gymnasts at the club level, and I'm a certified mental performance coach through The Life Coach School.

Now I get to help gymnasts like you take ownership of your recruiting, one next step at a time. I can't wait to meet you!
